Kansas City, MO - Blue Symphony, LLC is excited to announce Founder and Principal, Sherry Lumpkins, as a recipient of the annual STEMMy awards hosted by Central Exchange. Lumpkins has led Blue Symphony in delivering custom software, websites, technology and marketing solutions for leading brands, government entities and nonprofits. The STEMMy’s Enterprising Innovator award recognizes a woman business owner in the STEMM field for both professional achievements and community service. Lumpkins will join a host of trailblazing women in science, technology, engineering, math and medicine (STEMM) in the Kansas City metro area for Central Exchange’s 7th Annual STEMMy Awards on September 24, 2020.

Through the years, Lumpkins has led by example in STEMM, advocating for the next generation of phenomenal leaders offering educational training by way of internships and special programming and events to bring in helpful resources that will advance the community. “It’s an honor to be a part of the 2020 class of dynamic women recognized by Central Exchange’s STEMMy award celebration. The Central Exchange is making a major impact by recognizing the accomplishments and contributions of women in STEMM, that may otherwise go unnoticed. For over 18 years, Lumpkins has led Blue Symphony in delivering technology and marketing solutions that help businesses streamline processes and increase productivity. KC Parks & Recreation, Bloch Real Estate, Taliaferro & Brown, Inc., The Independent-KC’s society journal, and Evergy are just a few clients of Blue Symphony. Sherry has also taken services nationwide with clients in Los Angeles, Dallas, and New York.

Before launching Blue Symphony, Lumpkins held several technical and management positions at companies ranging from small startups to international corporations, including Assurant and Sprint, where her duties ranged from programmer analyst to project manager.
