Blue Symphony is an information technology and marketing consultancy based in the Kansas City metropolitan area. I/T specialties include web development, custom programming, and custom database solutions. Marketing services include strategic planning, brand development, social media campaign development and execution, design, and other online and offline design services.

We are seeking an experienced business development and sales professional to join our team to support initiatives for the company and clients. This position will start as a part-time contract-to-hire full-time.

Responsibilities:

Cultivate new business and expand business of existing clients. Responsibilities span multiple levels of planning, strategizing, and execution. The position works directly with clients, potential clients, internal team members, and business partners. Other business-generating responsibilities. The role encompasses the full sales funnel.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Research and identify RFPs and other opportunities
  • Write proposals
  • Create and cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client accounts
  • Assist with B2B sales and marketing
  • Reach agreed upon sales targets by deadline
  • Maintain and communicate a strong understanding of our core services and supporting services
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and market developments
  • Identify and respond to applicable grant opportunities
  • Assist with developing social media and other campaigns
  • Aptitude and interest in researching and learning about the technology industry, our clients’ industries, and how we can and do impact them
  • Ability to create various types of written compositions for targeted audiences
  • Self-motivated and self-disciplined
  • Detail-oriented
  • Consistently meets deadlines

Beneficial:

  • Traditional and/or digital sales and marketing experience
  • Experience in copy writing and editing
  • Account management experience
  • Experience creating presentations
  • Experience writing and/or editing proposals

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and speaking skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to Relocate:
