Marketing Communications Manager

Blue Symphony is an information technology and marketing agency based in the Kansas City metropolitan area. I/T specialties include web development, custom programming, and custom database solutions. Marketing services include strategic planning, brand development, social media campaign development and execution, design, and other online and offline marketing services.

We are seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to develop, manage, and execute a wide range of marketing-focused projects. The ideal candidate is trained in the marketing and communications profession, works well independently, wants to learn new things, and can manage multiple concurrent projects.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation

  • Develop multiple types of content including but not limited to graphics, copy, and video; for digital and print executions using tools such as Adobe, Canva, and Figma
  • Support video production from concept development and scripting to onsite management of production teams
  • As needed, manage other team members to create and deliver marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and client expectations
  • Manage the review and approval process for all program assets

Program Planning & Execution

  • Develop, coordinate, and manage marketing programs, campaigns, and initiatives from concept to completion
  • Define project goals, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in alignment with client and agency objectives
  • Provide event planning support

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams (designers, copywriters, developers, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of marketing programs
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding program updates, feedback, and deliverables

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Track and analyze campaign performance using tools such as Google Analytics and HubSpot
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve program outcomes

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and audience behaviors to inform marketing strategies
  • Assist in developing and refining program strategies to meet client objectives

Project Management

  • Utilize project management tools to organize tasks, set deadlines, and ensure timely delivery of program milestones
  • Maintain clear and organized documentation of program progress, challenges, and successes

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business, or a related field

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing program or project management, preferably in an agency environment
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex marketing programs

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Good sense of design and art direction
  • Strong knowledge of design tools and digital software
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and multi-channel campaign management
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, Monday.com) and marketing platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot)
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
